NaBloPoMo 15 - Mt Victoria

Mount Victoria (locally abbreviated to Mt Vic), is a suburb of Wellington. It's summit is a tourist spot and viewing platform where you get spectacular 360 degree views of Wellington.

Mt Vic's Maori name is Tangi Te Keo and it was one of the locations where the Lord of the Rings movies were shot.

Here are some pictures of Mt Vic.

Richard Byrd Memorial  - Richard Byrd was an American aviator who mounted many expeditions to Antarctica from his base in New Zealand. The sides are decorated in tiles representing the Aurora Australis, the Southern Lights.
