I was driving home some days ago when suddenly this beautiful rainbow appeared. Almost felt like I was chasing it all the way home. Unfortunately by the time I got my camera out and snapped it from my lounge, it had started to fade. It was a really beautiful rainbow.

GBE2 - Picture Prompt - Kitchen 

On Wednesday 14 November 2012 was the Solar Eclipse that was seen over Australia and New Zealand.

Unfortunately we didn't have the right glasses to see it in action, but we watched it over the internet and I took some photos from inside.

So here it is, my perspective of the solar eclipse - the changing light inside my kitchen.

1 = approx 10:37am - Eclipse hits its peak in Wellington at 76%
2 = 10:59am - starting to get brighter
3 = 11:43am
4 = 11:59am - almost back to normal.

A few days ago I woke up to find this view from my lounge ... a veil over the hills. 

And the thought that came into my mind was "clouds kissing the hills".

It looked so beautiful and so serene.

My photo just doesn't do the scene justice.

My birthday present to myself finally arrived. I've been waiting a long time for this. There is always something else more important to buy or other birthdays to consider. I decided I was going to save and that saving was not going to be used for anything else. I finally did it!

And now I can read my kindle books on the way to and from work. The bus ride is a lot more fun now.

Three of my favourite books on my kindle dashboard ... The Bhagavad Gita (currently reading this), The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran (my all time favourite), and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (a literary classic).

So here is my "single" picture for this week's This Moment.
