This week's prompt at Friday My Town Shoot Out is Vacation Spots
Where do you love to vacation?
Do you go on vacation to rest and relax?
Or do you keep busy with activities?
My favourite place to vacation is my hometown of Mumbai, India.
Visiting Mumbai is always relaxing and great fun to meet up with my relatives and friends. And it's always busy, busy, busy catching up with them.
Here are some of my favourite Mumbai pictures
Taj Mahal Hotel and the Gateway of India.
Sunset from Joggers Park. The sunsets in Mumbai are spectacular.
Relaxing at the Otters Club and looking at the palm trees is so therapeutic. I love the palm trees. They are so elegant.
Rajabai Tower
It's always fun to eat out in Mumbai. Some of my favourite places to eat are at:
The Copper Chimney - I love the rumali roti and kebabs
Jewel of India - great ambience and wonderful cuisine.

ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Thanks Martha. Yes it is a great city, chaotic but very vibrant.
Deleteenjoyed your photos, suzy! i love the photo of the sunset most especially... so beautiful! i hope one day i'll be given the opportunity to visit mumbai! <3 :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Irene. I love sunsets and I also hope that you will visit Mumbai.
DeleteI love how India is so exotic yet so English. It's a unique combination and I can see how you love it. Great pictures. They really tell a story.
ReplyDeleteThanks Barb. That's so true about India being exotic and so English. Some of the most beautiful buildings in Mumbai were all built by the British during their rule in India. The Rajabai tower is one of those.
Deletethis week's shoot out has been great... everyone of the places shown has gone into my bucket list. love the first photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks GingerV. I like it too.
DeleteSounds like a place to be and thank you for this getaway!
ReplyDeleteHi Journey of Life. Mumbai is an awesome city. Lots to see and do.
DeleteGreat photos. Although I miss my family, I certainly don't want to spend my vacation visiting with them. I consider visiting family separate from my real vacation. Anyhow, one of these days I hope to visit India.
ReplyDeleteThanks JarieLyn. I think I'm done with visiting places for the scenery etc. I've been blessed to have travelled to many places around the world. Now it's all about the people for me. I do hope you will visit India someday.
DeleteWhat a beautiful side of Mumbai!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jama. Yes, between the chaos and confusion there, you find the gems.
Deletedo you visit a lot?
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, I try to visit every other year.
DeleteReally some cool pictures here.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janu. Glad you liked them.
DeleteI am wondering where you live that you vacation in Mumbai! For me, I wouldn't like the travel time to get there. My husband has gone there on business. He is not too much of a fan of the air time either!
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca, I live in New Zealand but my hometown is Mumbai. I vacation to visit my relatives and friends. I guess if I was just going on business or as a tourist I would not like the travel time. But to visit people close to my heart and a city I grew up in and love with all my heart, I would make that trip 10 times over and not feel the pain.
DeleteI felt transported looking at all of these wonderful images of Mumbai! Thanks so much for sharing them with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tameka - I am happy that you felt transported - I hope that my photos do that each time. Thanks so much for visiting.
DeleteGreat pics Suzy of all your travel spots. Question if you had to pick one of these which one would you suggest the most?
ReplyDeletethey are all in Mumbai.
DeleteBeen to Mumbai only once. Haven't seen much of it. Hope I get to go someday again.
