Deceptive weather today - sunny but cold
The weather is very deceptive today. The sun is shining, there's only a slight breeze, it's Summer but it is cold.
Tidbits this week
Drove (or should I say, got driven) North to a town called Levin for work. Implementing some new hardware and software upgrades there.
And the diligence shown by my project team paid off as the implementation went well.
Delighted that New Zealand won the Wellington Rugby Sevens. Enjoyed watching the games and as always screamed my head off.
Don't know why but this week all I wanted to listen to was Hindi music. Perhaps my roots were calling?

My wife always champions the sunshine. I do not, especially when it's below freezing!
ReplyDeleteROG, ABCW
Hope it isn't below freezing where you are. Just thinking about that makes me feel cold. Thanks Rog.
DeleteOur sun has been bright and ..... it's very cold. It was very blinding yesterday as I drove home from the mall. My grass and trees aren't as gloriously green as your's. You look out the window and the sky looks like summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Banker Chick. It was warm and cosy inside and looked warm outside until I stepped out and felt the cold.
DeleteWish we had so0me sun here!
ReplyDeleteHope you get some warmer weather soon Judy.
DeleteHave a nice Saturday
ReplyDeletemuch love...
Thanks Gillena. Wish you a nice week.
DeleteI often immerse myself in Hindi music. It takes me back the country I love and visit quite often.
ReplyDeleteHi Keith. Yep, love my India too (the India I grew up in) and hindi music rocks!
DeleteIt is so true, during this time of year, it gets so much colder and the wind fierce and strong, but the sun shines, briefly!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, I'm hoping the Summer will last a little bit longer.
DeleteCold in summer? That's not good, but at least the sun shines. We have dreary winter here and the sun is elusive. Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie. Can't really complain as we had some really hot sunny days this Summer. Still hoping the nice weather lasts just a little bit longer.
DeleteWe have that kind of weather, too. Looks gorgeous from the comfort of the house, stabs icily the moment we step outside.
ReplyDeleteYes looks lovely from inside and then the cold weather hits you as you step outside. Thanks Viv.
DeleteIt is beautiful if cold.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how certain music can take over our imagination. I think it is especially true with music from our youth.
Have a great weekend!
:-)
Traci
That's exactly right Traci, It's the music from our youth that appeals the most.
DeleteBlue skies can be very deceptive.
ReplyDeleteThey sure can Mlissabeth. And blue skies also turn grey very fast in my corner of the world.
DeleteBlue skies can be very deceptive.
ReplyDeleteCold sun beats wet rain any day in my book!
ReplyDeleteIn my book too Tonya. But I do like my Summers nice and warm.
DeleteThat is a vibrant blue sky! What a beautiful picture. The titbits were interesting. I love old hindi melodies. Thanks for linking .
ReplyDeleteThanks Inderpreet. I've been watching some old hindi movies too. Made me homesick!
DeleteOh I have had those days when all I wanted to do was listen to old hindi songs! Something so comforting and soothing about the lyrics, the composition of those sweet oldies...
ReplyDeleteSo true Beloo and you took the words right out of my mouth.
DeleteSunshine is so good for our mood even if it's chilly.
ReplyDeleteAnn
Very true Ann. A sunny day does lift our mood.
DeleteSunshine is always welcome despite the chilly temp ;)
ReplyDeleteThere are times when I also feel like listening to a particular kind of music :) Glad you listened to your heart, Suzy.
Thanks for linking up with Abracabadra.
Thanks Ruchira. Somedays I just love my hindi music - takes me back to my days in India.
DeleteWe too experience such deceptive weather here, sunny outside cold everywhere. But sunshine in any form is welcomed by us. :) glad you had a good week Suzy. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vinitha. The Wellington weather is very unpredictable. We can get all 4 seasons in just one day.
DeleteExcellent Suzy! Have a great week.!
