A guitar day at the market
The guitar is not my favourite musical instrument, but I love hearing Santana play. So here is Samba Pa Ti.
I finished reading Ruchira Khanna's Voyager's Into The Unknown Enjoyed the book as it was a nice easy read and it took me back to a time when I visited the Taj Mahal. More than just a story, it has an inspirational theme and brings out some profound life truths. Do read it.
Last week I mentioned that my friend's husband is in hospital. I don't have an update on that but unfortunately her mother passed away on Monday unexpectedly. She was a lovely lady, so kind and loving and always smiling . May she be at peace. I also had another aunt pass away last week. Not a great start to 2016 - 3 deaths in the family and my friend's mother the 4th.
There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.
- Mahatma Gandhi
I hope you had a better week than I did.

DeleteSo sorry to hear about the losses in your family and friends circle. It must be hard.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope your love for music, art and poetry is helping you get over the sadness. Take care. And thanks for sharing the pictures. Hugs.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the deaths Suzy. Hope things get better the rest of 2016. I must admit I do love the guitar and live music of any kind is usually entertaining. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sanch. I enjoy live music too. My brother used to play the guitar and drums so there was music all day at home. I did piano classes when I was little and regret not pursuing it. I now have a keyboard - trying to learn that.
DeleteSad news, Suzy! My son is a guitarist and when he first left home I really missed the sound of his music. Nowadays it's a treat. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Restlessjo. My brother used to play the guitar and drums. My mother used to play the piano and my daughter used to play the keyboard. So there was music all the time. I'm trying to learn the keyboard now.
DeleteSorry to hear about the loss. It's difficult to deal with the death of loved ones. Mahatma Gandhi's quote is so true, people whom we love stay in our hearts forever. Will add Ruchira Khanna's novel to my wish list, seems to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mahathi. Yes do read Ruchira Khanna's novel
