Woke up to an awesome aspect
I love the hills that surround my house and it's my early morning ritual to watch them while I sip my tea. The hills look so serene and I feel so peaceful.
But few days ago I drew open the curtains and my eyes lit up in wonder. What an awesome sight, Particularly since it rarely snows in Wellington. The last time it snowed was in 2011.
It's been freezing cold the last few days. Winters in Wellington are cold, but the last few days have been unusually extra cold.
So here is a picture of the hills with some snow

DeleteI'm glad you linked up on the Friday Fragments. That is what brought me over here. At times when the summer heat gets too hot here it's good to remember the south part of the world is having winter. Nice icing on the mountains.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. Love how you describe the snow as icing . Thanks for dropping by.
DeleteNO!!!!!!!!!! Pleeeeez ! Don't make me look at snow. Summer here in Vermont is only about a week and a half long as it is. Things'll be getting cold again soon enough. As rare as snow sightings may be for you there in Wellington, so too do we cherish our truly summery days here.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your view, but keep it to yourself, please.
Noooo I want to share my view. I hope the warm weather sticks around a lot longer in Vermont.
DeleteWow! What an awesome view to wake up to every morning, without or without snow capped hills. Gorgeous photo. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Lizzie. I am grateful for such a view.
DeleteLooks lovely and cool. It is near 100* here and has been for about 3 weeks. A little snow would be welcome.
