I am taking part in the Blog-A-Rhythm Bar-a-thon challenge. The theme can be anything that requires grit and endurance, but not necessarily fitness related. And there are daily prompts.
So my theme is simple, it's a blogging marathon about things to do with me in pictures, starting at one and ending at seven.
~
Today's prompt is Three's A Crowd, but instead I'm going to write on Three's A Charm.
I saw these Christmas ornaments going at a throwaway price last Christmas. I really didn't know what they would look like when I bought them, but I was intrigued and since they were so cheap I thought I would pick them up and check them out.
These run on solar power and their battery life is very short, a couple of hours at best. So on a cloudy day, they pretty much stay unlit.
But when the sun's out and the battery is charged up, they are a delight to look at in the dark. They sit on my window sill and I love looking at them.
In this case three is not a crowd, instead it's a charm!
Have you ever bought something with little expectation but turned out quite delightful? Share in the comments.

ReplyDeleteYour admiration for these at your window sill is something that I can relate to when we light our homes up during Diwali with ornamental lamps.
Thanks Ashvini. I wish I had bought more, they could've doubled up as Diwali diyas- maybe I'll find them again at Christmas.

DeleteWhat pretty lights these are. I've never really bought anything that turned out delightful....Perhaps the closest I've come to possessing something is the gift of a crystal nail file. I never imagined it would change the way I filed my nails forever.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bellybytes. Your crystal nail file intrigues me!
