Thought I would join in the June photo a day so here are days 1, 2 and 3
Day 1 = B is for ... Boxes.
I love little trinket boxes and have a steadily growing collection. Here is a picture of some of my boxes. The rose is my favourite. A lot of my boxes are made of papier mache from India.
.
Day 2 = A Moment
Winter 2011 it snowed so heavily in Wellington. It rarely snows - maybe on the hills but never in the city.
That year however, it snowed everywhere. It was magical, cold, but magical. The kids had so much fun. And here is a moment my son and I will remember forever ... building our little Frosty the Snowman.

Day 3 - On My Table
June 3 is celebrated as the Queen's Birthday in New Zealand. And 2013 being her 60th Anniversary of her Coronation, we decided to celebrate a royal high tea at work last Friday. And it was a yummy royal high tea. So here is my table at work ...
Oooh, all the photos are lovely, Suzy. Those are lacquered boxes, right? They are very pretty! And I love the look on the snowman's face! :-) Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to the Queen! That's quite a spread you have there!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Thanks Vidya. Those are papier mache boxes from Cottage Industries and Kashmir Emporium in Mumbai. It was a really nice morning tea - I had to skip dinner I was so full.
DeleteLovely photos, all. Love your collection of boxes. The Mr. Frosty moment must carry such lovely memories :) And in the last picture I wonder if the table is groaning ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Shail. The snow moments were really magical and will be remembered forever. oh lol, a lot of us were groaning after over eating.

DeleteThose boxes are beautiful, Suzy! Even I love the rose one!
ReplyDeleteAnd building a certain Mr. Frosty has been a dream I've nurtured since childhood... hopefully, one day I'll get to be in a place where it's snowing, and will then make my dream come true! :P
And that's a most mouth-watering spread on the table at your work place. I love high-teas like this!
Thanks Chicky. I hope you will get a chance to build frosty. But have some good gloves on - we froze!
